I grew up in Idaho in a relatively healthy family. My grandparents started a health food company in the 70’s that became a multi-million dollar and international company. So, from a young age, I was taught the foundations of nutrition, the affects of adopting a poor diet, and the importance of taking care of your body. Even with that background, I rebelled and ate horribly as a teenager. When I was able to drive, I would stop by gas stations on my way home from work and buy skittles, apple pies, donuts and anything that tasted good. Just having the knowledge wasn’t and –-for most people—isn’t enough to create lasting change. Adopting habits others told me were important and living to please them didn’t create intrinsic values I believed in and was willing to live by. Now, today, after being in the fitness industry and spending time learning about health, how our bodies work, the emotional and psychological elements of nutrition and food, my own values and habits have been transformed, and so has the way I coach my clients.

Most people I work with want to lose body fat and gain muscle mass or definition and find it difficult to change their habits in order to accomplish this. It’s a common struggle. There is a balance that comes into play when we consider our desired body image, our lifestyle, the culture we live in, our social tendencies, and health. I love working with people who have tried “diets” or “fat loss” techniques and been disappointed with the long term results.

Growing up in the South has challenges in and of itself—fried foods, dense casseroles (with who knows what in them!!), & stagnant lifestyles. Thankfully, being involved in basketball and tennis helped keep me “in shape”. Around my junior year in high school is when I started to eat according to what made me feel good. I realized the importance of using food as fuel. My senior year of high school, I started working at a local ladies gym and began teaching group classes, personal training, and coaching people towards weight loss. It had become a passion and has remained ever since! For over 20 years now, I have been in the field of health & fitness and have loved every moment.

In 2012, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and Adrenal Fatigue. Using the right foods, exercise, and natural medication, I was able to get my levels back to normal. Food is medicine, and exercise does wonders!

If you are struggling with getting your life back on track or simply haven’t a clue where to start in the realm of weight loss or health, I’d love to be your coach and help you find your path towards success—whatever nutritional goals you may have!

Growing up as a full-time athlete, I was always looking for ways to improve my performance and stay healthy. Athletics took me all around the world and eventually into the life of a collegiate athlete. Although I had always tried to use nutrition to find an edge in my training, I often found myself taking on unrealistic nutrition plans that would fizzle out within a few weeks–leaving me feeling defeated and confused. It wasn’t until receiving a university-led education in nutrition that I was able to fully grasp the importance of prioritizing sustainable choices over trending diets or shiny new supplements. These sustainable choices eventually led me to become ranked in the top ten in college tennis and reach All-American status.

The nutrition industry is overflowing with information, without professional guidance it can be hard to cut through the confusion and get to what matters for YOU. I know exactly what it’s like to want to make changes but aren’t sure where to start. Christine Kling

Growing up in a big family, cooking often fell onto us kids. I have some of the best memories cooking with my sisters and working in the garden with my mom and dad. As I grew, things changed in our home and so did our healthy habits. I struggled through bulimia, extreme dieting for fitness competitions, and two hard pregnancies. In 2013, my passion for food as medicine was ignited after losing my dad to heart disease and diabetes.

Through studying nutrition, supplementation, and the gift of movement, I’ve cultivated a relationship with my health and my body that is now thriving. Food truly is medicine.

I believe that nutrition and health are unique to YOU. My passion is loving and helping others find the best version of themselves.
